Your my Cuppycake!
Baking is mindful. Mindfulness means paying attention to yourself in the moment and not being in the past or the future, but really being there. And help to combat anxiety. (citied from a website)
Cupcakes are different from muffins. Frosting is one of the thing that makes it different. Both are dessert, but muffins are also used as a snack. The other difference is the amount of oil used in the recipe. So we have:
- Ingredients
- The making
- And the frosting

If you know the procedure to bake, you only look for ingredients.
For Cupcakes
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) sugar
1 1/4 cups (310 ml) unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (125 ml) cocoa powder, sifted
1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking powder
1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
2 eggs
3/4 cup (180 ml) warm water
1/2 cup (125 ml) canola oil
2 teaspoons (10 ml) white vinegar
1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
The making
To make it simple, I have just dumped all the ingredients together. All you have to take care of, is lumps. There should be no lumps in the batter. Usually, the dry ingredients and other ingredients (egg, vinegar, water, oil, etc) are mixed in separate bowls. Then, the egg one is added in parts to the dry one (whisk) to prevent lumps.
I have given her a big pan, so that she doesn’t spill.
Frosting
2 cups (500 ml) icing sugar, sifted
6 tablespoons (90 ml) unsalted butter, slightly softened
3 tablespoons (45 ml) hot water
2 tablespoons (30 ml) cocoa powder, sifted
I have made butter cream instead, so you can minus the cocoa powder. .
Whisk all the ingredients together till the colour of the butter changes (becomes lighter). And till it turns smooth and fluffy. Enjoy!
Yum they look delicious. I’m a sucker for chocolate cup cakes 😊

No I haven’t, I’m not the best baker/cook. If I try very hard I can probably burn water 🤣
